What can you do with it?
Stock and Sales brings daily retail work into the Gestero workspace for grocery stores, greengrocers, convenience stores, stationers, pet shops and other product-based businesses. Product records, stock receipts, barcode sales, returns and register counts stay connected. Business owners can review stock and results while cashiers work within their assigned permissions.
Product and price management
Keep names, categories, barcodes and prices together in searchable product records.
- Choose item, kilogram or litre units. Enter kilogram and litre quantities with up to three decimal places.
- Store VAT-inclusive selling prices, purchase costs, VAT rates and low-stock thresholds.
- Search by name, category or barcode; filter by category, active status, low stock or zero stock.
- Deactivate products while retaining access to their past sales and stock movements.
Stock receipts, counts and waste
Record changes with a reason and the user who performed the action. Sales and returns also appear in the stock ledger.
- Add deliveries as receipts. Enter the total quantity on the shelf during a count to record the adjustment.
- Record spoiled, broken or unusable goods as waste.
- Completed sales reduce stock; returns and voided sales restore the relevant quantities.
- Filter movement history by date, user, product and type; browse older records with pagination and open linked sales.
Barcode checkout from your computer
Cashiers open their own register, add products by barcode or search, check quantities and confirm payment records.
- Record cash, card or split payments; view cash received and change due.
- Authorised users can apply fixed-amount or percentage discounts to a line or basket.
- Hold a named cart and resume it at current product prices. Held carts do not reserve inventory.
- Check barcode-reader input in the diagnostic area and refresh the cart to review current prices and stock.
Returns, voids and register reconciliation
Work from the original sale and compare expected cash with the amount counted at closing.
- Authorised users can return selected quantities or void a sale with a reason. These actions require an open register.
- Open with a cash balance and record explained cash deposits or withdrawals.
- At closing, compare expected cash, counted cash and the difference; a discrepancy requires a note.
- Filter open, closed or discrepant sessions. Inspect sales, refunds and cash movements together in session details.
Daily overview and period reports
View today in the business time zone or review a period of up to 366 days with the appropriate reporting permission.
- See sales, returns/voids, discounts, net cash/card amounts, low-stock products, open registers and held carts.
- Filter sales by date, cashier, payment method, currency, status or transaction ID.
- Review daily, cashier and product breakdowns; download the selected period transaction ledger as CSV.
- Gross margin uses purchase costs captured at sale time and does not deduct taxes, fees or overhead. Refunds are booked on their processing date; currencies are reported separately.
Bulk product transfers with CSV
Export your catalogue or use the template to prepare product additions and updates. Selecting a file creates a preview first.
- Use UTF-8, semicolon-separated CSV with up to 500 products and a 1 MB file per transfer.
- Matching barcodes update products; new barcodes create products with zero stock. Importing does not change stock quantities.
- Review additions, updates and row errors. An invalid row blocks the entire import.
- Save the reviewed products together. If product details change after preview, check the file again before saving.
Permissions for your team
Use existing roles to assign product management, stock control and register tasks.
- Control products, stock, selling, discounts, returns, voids, held carts, register opening/closing and cash movements separately.
- Grant report access separately so cashiers do not automatically receive cost-report access.
- Users open and close their own register sessions. Records are scoped to the business account.
How to get started
- Create a business account and purchase Stock and Sales on its own or within a Custom plan. Availability depends on your billing currency; current TRY pricing is shown on the Turkish plans page.
- Add products manually or preview a CSV import; review units, prices and low-stock thresholds.
- Record opening stock as receipts and assign your team roles and permissions.
- Open the register with its starting cash, record sales and returns, then count cash and close the session.
Example uses
- A greengrocer can track deliveries, sales by kilogram and waste, then compare a physical count with recorded stock.
- A grocery cashier can scan products, resume a held cart and process a return from its original sale.
- A stationer or pet shop can update prices with CSV while the owner reviews low stock and period sales.
Scope and requirements
The module can be purchased as a standalone monthly or annual subscription without another paid plan. Current prices and VAT details are on the plans page; a USD price has not been set. This version runs in a computer browser with an internet connection. Selecting card records a payment; it does not charge a payment terminal. Direct fiscal-register or scale integration, fiscal receipts or e-invoice issuance, offline selling and central inter-branch stock transfers are outside the current module scope.
Check plans and current pricingQuestions about this feature
Can I buy only Stock and Sales?
Yes. A free business account can purchase a module subscription, or a Custom plan can contain only Stock and Sales. Check the plans page for availability in your billing currency and current pricing.
Does it support sales by weight?
Yes. Item, kilogram and litre units are supported. Kilogram and litre quantities can be entered manually with up to three decimal places. Automatic electronic-scale readings are not included.
Can I sell without a barcode reader?
Yes. Search for a product and add it to the cart. Readers that type barcodes like a keyboard can be checked in the diagnostic area; test your device and Enter suffix before use.
Do returns and voids update stock and cash records?
Yes. Authorised users work from the original sale. Returned quantities restore stock, cash/card refunds are recorded, and a reason is retained. An open register is required.
Does a held cart reserve inventory?
No. Held carts do not reserve stock. Current prices are used when resuming, and stock and payments are checked before completing a sale.
Does a CSV import overwrite stock?
No. It creates or updates product records by barcode. New products start with zero stock; opening quantities and counts are recorded as stock movements.
Can I keep selling without internet?
This version requires internet access. Offline sales and later synchronisation are not provided.
Does the gross margin report show net profit?
It uses purchase costs recorded at sale time. Taxes, fees and operating costs are not deducted; a product without a purchase price has zero recorded cost.
